This short film clip was discovered on an 8mm 3 minute reel purchased at a yard sale in Pennsylvania.Reel was marked as  1977  according to the seller, the guy who filmed it was a farmer/hobbyist who is deceased.

It was discovered and purchased in 2009 and was placed on youtube sometime last week.

It is hard to tell if it is actually bigfoot as the footage is not of great quality. Could this simply be another one of the many previous hoax’s , or is this actually video of bigfoot (sasquatch) ?

Louisiana Honey Island Swamp Monster a Hoax ?

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Monsters  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

The legend of the ‘Honey Island Swamp Monster’ born in the swamp lands of Louisiana has been debated for years. Since the legend began with the first sighting in 1974  reported by Harlan Ford and Ray Mills until present day many crypto zoologist and bigfoot believers have investigated and reported on the legend. There have been alot of varying opinions as to if this was an elaborate hoax or an authentic sighting of a bigfoot like creature. Some think that the original reports and sightings by Mr Ford may have been accurate , although through out the years others created hoax footprints and sightings trying to expand on the legend.

M.K. Davis did some research into the legend and found some interesting facts and items which lean to the honey island swap monster being a hoax. These findings are thought by some to simply prove that there were some people over the years who tried to profit or expand on the legend by means of a hoax , but does not prove that the orginal sightings and reports by Mr Ford  and indeed fabricated.

A Louisiana Hoax

M. K. Davis’s presentation…dealt with the “Honey Island Swamp Monster,” a Bigfoot-like denizen of Louisiana reported by an air traffic controller in the late 1970s and featured in the television series In Search Of… featuring Leonard Nimoy. Davis had an unbelievable stroke of luck. He found a man who had recovered one of the shoes used to perpetrate the hoax-for a hoax the story seems to have been. Davis showed footage of the shoe with a three-toed claw attached to the bottom, which was presumably used to fake the tracks. The other shoe is unaccounted for, but the Honey Island Swamp Monster seems to have been exposed once and for all. Bearing in mind [Loren] Coleman’s earlier remarks, there may have been sightings of some anomalous creature in the beginning, but the only available evidence points to fraud.

Whether the legend was a hoax from the beginning or not we may never know. But like many other cryptozoological creatures the legend of the “Honey Island Swamp Monster” lives on.

Bigfoot Sighting in Southern Colorado, or Recent Hoax?

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Monsters  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

Is Bigfoot walking around your backyard? A recent visitor to the Monument area is sharing what she captured on video, and saw with her own eyes.

A choppy, 15-second video clip depicts a typical day on Palmer Ridge, until things get interesting along the treeline.

A shadowy figure saunters into the frame, long arms swinging by his side.

Reportedly, it’s Bigfoot making a brief appearance near Monument.

“Never did believe it until I saw it for myself,” said Denise Plante. She spotted the big guy during a recent barbecue.

“We heard a noise, and thought maybe we should take a closer look,” Plante said.

11 News showed the video that’s been posted online to residents in the area.

“I saw something move,” said Kathy. “I seriously doubt it’s bigfoot.”

It’s a hard sell for some.

“I don’t think it’s him. I’ve seen him. He’s a little shorter,” said Jim, an El Paso County resident.

Others could at least be swayed.

“That was him! I saw his long hair!” said Jim’s son Finn.

Despite compelling video, and a telltale footprint, the whole thing boils down to two words.

“April Fool’s!” Plante said.

Plante thought up the gag for her gig as a morning talk host on Denver’s KOSI 101, choosing a southern Colorado setting by doing some homework.

“A lot of people have witnessed bigfoot at Pikes Peak, they claim,” she said.

That part of the bigfoot story is true. Bigfoot researchers conducted expeditions in Colorado as recently as last August. But do believers think it’s possible he spends time further downhill?

“I think it’s cool!” said Cassie, who lives near Monument.

The whole truth may still be out there.

“We’ve been here a long time and I haven’t met him yet,” said Cassie’s mom. “But I’d like to.”

‘Borneo Monster’ Photos Proven Fake

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Monsters  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

Suspicious images that emerged last month showing what some believed to be a legendary giant snake in Borneo have been proven to be fakes.

The Daily Mail reported that the image above had sparked local villagers’ fears that the mythical Nabau, a 100-foot-long serpent, had returned. But online investigators tracked down the real photo, identical to the image that created a frenzy but without the serpent figure.

Scientific American talked to a Kansas librarian who was one of many to reveal the hoax. Nathan Chadwick explained that by using the reverse search engine TinEye, which crawls the Web for pixels that match an uploaded image, he was able to locate the original photo. According to many Web sites, the original image shows the Congo River in Africa, not the Baleh River in Borneo.

A second photo that the Daily Mail included in its story was actually found to be an image that was entered in a 2002 hoax contest.

When AOL posted an earlier story about the photos and questions over their authenticity, 55 percent of those answering a poll said they believed the images did in fact show a 100-foot-long snake.

It would appear the Borneo monster is just a myth.
