Does Big Foot Have a Foothold in Siberia

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Monsters  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

According to news sources, an expedition led by the Russian Orthodox Bishop of Kemerovo set off in search of a Bigfoot-like creature that was sighted by some frightened hunters in the area. A news report just last week claimed that some local hunters near the Azass Cave on Mount Shoriya had spotted “some hairy humanoid creatures” that resemble some kind of brown bear from a distance. They have black or red fur all over their bodies and stand some 5-6 feet tall. With the report came one of those things they say is worth a thousand words; namely, a photograph from the inside of the cave showing the track of an unidentified creature.

The priest is also expected to make a private visit to open and bless a small church at a gulag barracks camp in Mount Shoriya. There were many of these camps during the Soviet era. The expedition will require snowmobiles to reach the village where the Bigfoot sightings took place. A spokesman from the Russian news-agency, RIA Novost said:

“A more formal scientific expedition to investigate the sighting is currently being organized for this coming summer. The financial details are being worked out, and there are already many enthusiasts, businessmen and hunters ready to help.”

Nikita Shulbayev, deputy head of the local administration said:

“People here are scared the creatures will attack villages because of hunger. We made a decision to send an expedition to research this issue. We need to understand whether they are dangerous for people and we need to calm people down.”

The head of the department of anthropology at the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology in Moscow is not impressed and he stresses that despite the numerous reports of their sightings throughout the world, anthropologists have never seen or studied the body of a Bigfoot or yeti. He further stated that the spotting of singular yetis is “biological nonsense” as a large population must exist in order to create generation after generation. He made no comment about the fact that this particular sighting involved several creatures.

Whatever these things are or aren’t, it would seem that the entire matter is a lot more frightening for the creatures, n’est ce pas?

Hellhound reported around Cannock Chase

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Monsters  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

Forget Bigfoot, panthers and UFOs…there’s something even more chilling on Cannock Chase.

It’s time for the fabled Hellhound – a portent of doom – to take a bow-wow.

Reports have been received on paranormal websites of the demonic dog roaming our area.

The hound, also known as the ‘ghost dog of Brereton,’ has been seen on numerous occasions stalking the roads leading into Brereton.

The apparition has been described as large, black, muscular, with sharp pointed ears and strangly glowing eyes. British folklore indicates that the black dog forewarns death.

The most prominent sightings happened in the 1970s, and early 1980s. Whilst driving through the Chase in 1972, Nigel Lea described seeing a ball of light crash into the ground.

He slowed down to take a closer look and was confronted by ‘the biggest bloody dog I have ever seen.’

Within a month one of Mr Leas close friends died in a terrible industrial accident, which Mr Lea believed may be connected to the dog appirition.

In the January, 1985, there was another report of the hell hound stalking Coal Pit Lane, Brereton. Mrs Sylvia Everett, of Cannock Wood Road, described a strange misty figure moving across the road as she and her husband drove on a warm and clear summer night. Although they could not explain the incident, Mrs Everett believed that it may have been connected to the to the dog-lore of Brereton.

Traditionally, demonic dogs are associated with grave yards, bridges, water, crossroads and places connected with violence and death.

Approaching Brereton on the Rugeley Road you come to an ideal crossroad, where the Rugeley Road, Colliery Road, Stile Cop road, and Startley Lane meet. The area is also associated with the former Lea Hall and Brereton Collieries – hazardous places where workers at times met with terrible accidents.

Could there be a connection between these sights and the spectral hound?

Bigfoot sightings keep the legend alive in Michigan

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Monsters  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

That funky smell; that hairy, not-quite-human gait; that long, low call through the woods:

Bigfoot! In Michigan!

There’s a declaration that’ll have friends turning away and snickering into their hands.

Here in the Great Lakes State, as in most of the northland, if it hasn’t been shot and dragged by the foot back into town for all to see, it’s considered not quite real.

But sightings of Bigfoot persist to this day. Just last year, a hunter in Oscoda County got a whiff of something stinky, then came upon a sleeping Bigfoot. Jeez-o-Pete!

One was seen in Arenac County in 2003, another in Ogemaw in 2007 near Lupton.

The reports keep trickling in, stoking the legend of Bigfoot. For fear of ridicule, few people are willing to make those claims publicly.

Who’s to say, though, that there isn’t a 7- or 8-foot, apelike creature hiding out in our remote swamps?

A team of researchers tried to flush one out in the Upper Peninsula in recent years, to no avail. Kind of like those cable TV “reality” shows where they never manage to find a live specimen of the creature of the week.

That’s OK. If Bigfoot were common, they wouldn’t be legend, would they?

Keep that in mind the next time you’re deep in the woods and you see, smell or hear something that’s Not. Quite. Right.

Could it be Bigfoot?

Maybe.

The Lake Tianchi Monster

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Monsters  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

If you think that buffalo can only be seen on land, then think again. The Lake Tianchi or Heaven Lake is known to be the home of several huge monsters that come in the form of buffalos. Nestled at the peak of Baekdu Mountain of the mountain ranges of Baekdudaegan and Changbai that extends to China’s Jilin Province of China and North Korea’s Ryanggang Province; The Lake Tianchi is acknowledged as the largest crater lake, and the deepest mountain lake in all of China.

The Lake Tianchi Monster was reported to be first seen in 1903. Based on the report of the witness, the beast was a very large monster which had physical characteristics that resembled the features of a buffalo. It tried to attack three people but when it was shot at, it immediately went back to the water. Almost sixty years after the first sighting, more than a hundred people reported that they were witnesses to the sight of two buffalo-like creatures who chased each other in the water.

In 2005, The China Daily published an article stating that a tourist in Jilin Province has claimed to spot the Lake Tianch Monster. The tourist, Zheng Changchun, stated that he was observing the waters when he suddenly saw a strange, black object emerging from the waters. Zheng then got his videotape and recorded the sighting. In the video, a black creature can be seen rising from and plunging into the lake three times.

Last year, a TV reporter in China, Zhuo Yongsheng noted that he had videotaped his sighting of six unidentified creatures in the Lake Tianchi on September 6. According to Zhuo, the creatures resembled seals with large fins or wings which were much larger than their bodies. He said that the creatures were swimming and playing around the lake during that morning. He added that the creatures swam swiftly “as fast as yachts”. Zhuo also observed that the creatures were moving in a synchronize way, “as if someone was giving orders”.

Zhuo sent his still photos to the provincial bureau of Jilin and news reports about the sighting and the pictures came out. Based on the pictures in the news reports, the six creatures were shown swimming by pairs, in a parallel lane. Another photograph showed the Lake Tianchi monsters closer together as they left circular waves on the water.

Apart from the mentioned sightings, there have been more than thirty reports that tourists have observed the monster in the waters of the Lake Tianchi for the past twenty years.

Man snaps pictures of ’sasquatch footprints’ in northern B.C.

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Monsters  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

Brian Vike believes he has photographic evidence that sasquatches exist.

No, he doesn’t have a photo of a sasquatch, but he does have a photo of a very large footprint.

The Houston, B.C.-based UFO researcher has developed a soft spot for the mythical furry creatures, and got an excited call last Sunday from the remote community of Moricetown.

“I made the 90-minute drive up there, and I was amazed at what I saw,” Vike told The Province. “I’ve been on some of those turkey runs, when there’s nothing to see.

“But there were footprints, 17-and-a-half inches in length, that went on for a long ways.

“The stride is three feet six inches from the front of the foot to the back of the heel.”

More tellingly for Vike, the snow around the prints was untouched.

“There were no tracks around to show that somebody was trying to pull a gag.”

Vike, who tracks UFO sightings, got even more excited when he found blood in one of the prints.

“I’m sending it off for testing in Saskatchewan and Ohio. We also have a hair sample.”

Sasquatches are allegedly ape-like beings that apparently are quite shy, since they don’t seem to interact with humans much.

Like the yeti and the ogopogo, sightings are frequently reported, but no conclusive proof of their existence has ever been found.

On the other hand, conclusive proof that they do not exist does not exist

MonsterQuest : SNOWBEAST SLAUGHTER

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Monsters  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

Wednesday March 11th 2008 at 9PM / 8PM central on HISTORY.

High in the rugged wilderness of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains a large hairy creature is said to be preying on the elk and frightening residents. The stories date back centuries with the earliest settlers describing terrifying encounters with a large beast whose scream bellows across the hills. Even today ranchers and hikers report a monster they can’t explain that may be attacking their horses. MonsterQuest will sift through the evidence and determine what may be killing the elk. The aerial search ascends to 11,000 ft in search of fresh evidence that could lead to the creature; as the ground team scales the side of Pikes Peak to hunt for the legendary Snowbeast.

Background on the peak’s name:

Pikes Peak (originally Pike’s Peak, see below) is a mountain in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, 10 miles (16 km) west of Colorado Springs, Colorado, in El Paso County. The mountain was named after Zebulon Montgomery Pike Jr. (January 5, 1778 – April 27, 1813), an American soldier, explorer, and Freemason, whose Pike expedition, often compared to the Lewis and Clark Expedition, mapped much of the southern portion of the Louisiana Purchase.

Pike was born in Lamberton, New Jersey, now a part of Trenton. His father, also named Zebulon Pike, was an officer in the Continental Army under General George Washington and served in the United States Army after the end of the Revolutionary War.

One famed ancestor of Zebulon Pike is John Pike (1613-1688/1689), who was a founder of Woodbridge, New Jersey and a judge and politician of the early colony of New Jersey.

During the period of exploration in Colorado, many would refer to the mountain as “Pike’s Peak,” after Zebulon Pike, the man who first documented it and attempted to climb to its summit. The attempt failed to reach the summit as it was made during the winter months. The snow drifts were reported chest high at the time of the climb.

Edwin James was successful to reach the summit in his attempt during a summer month’s attempt. Later, some suggested “James’ Peak,” after Edwin James, the first man who successfully climbed to the summit. However, in this area there was another “James’ Peak” which made identification of the peak a confusing issue. The name went back and forth until it was settled with a uniquely identifiable name.

Originally the peak was called “Pike’s Peak”, but in 1891, the newly-formed US Board on Geographic Names recommended against the use of apostrophes in names, so officially the name of the peak does not include an apostrophe. In addition, in 1978 the Colorado state legislature passed a law mandating the use of “Pikes Peak” only. Even so, the old name is often seen.

Several people make the mistake thinking that Pikes Peak was named after the shadowy Masonic figure Albert Pike, who was related to Zebulon, through their mutual ancestor John Pike.

Albert Pike (December 29, 1809–April 2, 1891) was an attorney, explorer, soldier, writer, and Freemason. Pike is the only Confederate military officer or figure to be honored with an outdoor statue in Washington, D.C. (in Judiciary Square).

Albert Pike was elected Sovereign Grand Commander of the Scottish Rite’s Southern Jurisdiction in 1859. (Some have said that the Civil War was an occult battle between the northern and southern branches of Freemasonry.) He remained Sovereign Grand Commander for the remainder of his life (a total of thirty-two years), devoting a large amount of his time to developing the rituals of the order. Notably, he published a book called Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in 1871, of which there were several subsequent editions. Pike is still sometimes regarded in America as an eminent and influential Freemason.

Is Pikes Peak of significance to Masons?

In 1899, there was a small time capsule inserted into a rock atop Pikes Peak by 500 Masons - who arrived on a special train for the ceremony.

In 1999, on the 100th anniversary of that event, more than 200 Masons from Kansas and Colorado rode the Cog Railway to the summit of Pikes Peak, removed a small bronze plaque and withdrew the copper time capsule. They intended to put a new one in its place - to be opened in another 100 years - but they had misjudged the size of the hole cut into the rock by their 19th century colleagues, and the capsule didn’t fit.

In September 2000, a group of 22 Masons returned to the peak to discover that the bronze plaque atop the rock had been pried off and taken. In its place were several small capsules containing Scriptures and anti-Masonic statements.

The Masons reported the theft to rangers and then inserted their new stainless steel capsule into the flat, 10-foot-square rock, sealing it with concrete. The capsule, like the old one now on display in a Kansas bank, contains a Bible, an American flag, a list of Masons who made the trip and instruments such as a compass and ruler that have significance for the group, founded in the 1600s by European stonemasons.

Roswell fireman confesses 1947 UFO crash

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Myths  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

A firefighter who was with the Roswell Fire Department in 1947 has confirmed that the mysterious crash in the New Mexico desert that Summer was in fact of an unearthly craft!

The firefighter, now age 90, related stunning information to this author in a lengthy interview conducted recently. Respected Roswell author Kevin Randle also talked with the involved fireman to confirm the details of his story.

Some time ago I located the son of Rue Chrisman. Rue was the Fire Chief for the Roswell Fire Department in 1947, passing in 1981 at age 98. Chrisman’s son explained to me that he knew that the town’s Fire Department was somehow involved in the crash event. But the son was sparse in his conversation, not really wishing to elaborate. When pressed, the son said, “It did happen. There was a big coverup. The crash was real.” I asked him how he knew of this, he paused and said, “I knew too many who knew.”

I then asked him if any Roswell Firemen from 1947 are still alive. He replied that there was still “one left.” He only mentioned the surviving fireman’s surname as “Smith” and that one of his family members attends the same church as the involved fireman. Working with Kevin Randle, we identified and located the elderly gentleman and sought his testimony.

When reached, the Fireman was somewhat hesitant to discuss the matter. But after some “small talk” he warmed up to discussion. In a far-ranging conversation, the Fireman related these incredible details:

- An intimidating Colonel from Roswell Army Air Field visited the Roswell Fire Department immediately after the crash. The Colonel explained to the fireman who were at the department that day that an “unknown object from someplace else” had crashed in the desert outside Roswell. The Colonel warned that no one was to speak about the event to anyone ever. He also commanded them that nobody was to go out to the site or respond to any inquiries about the event. He explained that “everything was being handled by the military.”

- Dan Dwyer, another Roswell Fire Department firefighter, did manage to go out to see the crash site, defying the Colonels orders. He confirms some of the details that Dan Dwyer’s daughter, Frankie Rowe, has related in numerous interviews over the years. Frankie maintains that her father was able to view the craft and its occupants.

- Dan related to him that the area surrounding the crash was secured and cordoned by armed guards. Firemen went out there on their own volition, not as a “department.” The Fireman did not want to talk too much about Dan Dwyer and Frankie Rowe though.

- The crash was of a craft not from Earth. The Fireman explained that it was not a balloon or any type of military experiment. He said that it was a “UFO.” When I said to him that the term “UFO” was not used back then…he said it was “unidentified- a flying saucer.” I asked him how he knew this and he stated that he was certain it was because of “what I was told at the time it happened.” He explained that the Colonel did not know what the craft was or from where it came…and that there was great concern over the situation.

- The Roswell City Manager knew about the event and came into the Fire Department to personally and forcefully order the department to say nothing of the crash. Although the Fireman could not recall the City Manager’s name at the time, I knew who it was. When I mentioned the name “C.M. Woodbury” to him, he said that did seem to be the name. As it happens, C.M. Woodbury would have been a very intimidating individual with whom to reckon. This is because C.M. Woodbury was known as the “Iron Major” - a decorated War vet of the notoriously effective 752nd Tank Battallion. Woodbury was also very close friends with Butch Blanchard, the Roswell Army Air Field base Commander.

- The Roswell Army Air Field (RAAF) base Fire Department was heavily involved in the crash recovery. The Fireman explained that “this is where the confusion comes from.” The Fire Department that was most heavily involved in the crash retrieval was not so much the city fire department but the base’s own Fire Department. He asserted that the RAAF firemen “knew the most” about the event. He was unfortunately unable to recall the names of these firemen.

- The Roswell Sheriff’s Department was engaged in the coverup of the crash. The Fireman confirmed that Deputy Tommy Thompson was someone he knew at the Sherrif’s office who was told to “keep the quiet.”

- When asked how he “dealt with the fact that a craft from another world had crashed near Roswell,” the Fireman replied that they had no idea what the implications were, “we just didn’t really ever think about those kind of things at that time, but I do now.”

The Fireman’s testimony is nothing short of amazing. It confirms the unknown nature of the Roswell crash in 1947. It is, however, testimony. I appreciate the difficulties with “testimony.” Testimony includes utterances that are presented as evidence for the claims they express. There is an inherent problem with all testimony. The speaker’s reliability and sincerity are supported only by words rather than documents, photographs or other physical evidence. I appreciate that the Fireman’s words are not sufficient to justify the belief that the crash at Roswell was extraterrestrial.

However, when testimony is given by an individual who is in fact who he says he is- and who did not come forward but instead was “found,” we should pay attention to that testimony. And the truth of the event does not depend on taking the speaker’s word alone as evidence of truth. But the Fireman’s testimony is of special importance because he has never come forward publicly before with his story and he has no apparent reason or motivation to lie. The Fireman’s full name will not be released until his death. He is in the last years of life, living out his days peacefully with close family. Author Kevin Randle also talked with the Fireman after I did, and agrees that a barrage of calls and contacts to the elderly man by skeptics and others would be a disservice to an old man.

It is said that when a man becomes a Fireman, his greatest act of bravery has been accomplished. In this case though, the old Fireman’s greatest act of bravery was to tell what he knew about the Roswell event for the sake of history and truth.

History Channel in Garo Hills for ‘Monster Quest’

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Monsters  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

IN SEARCH for the most elusive creature on earth, popularly known as Mande Burung in Garo Hills, History Channel came down all the way from USA to film a documentary on the series ‘Monster Quest’. This is for the first time that History Channel has filmed such a story in India.

The writer-producer, Bill William Prouty, renowned Primatologist, Esteban Sarmiento led the team along with cameraperson Aaron Acktenberg and Eli Ljung. Sarmiento have spent years researching the Bigfoot of North America and studied apes and primates of Africa.

The team visited Chokpot, Silkigre, Siju, Rongsu and Rongrigittim villages and interviewed eyewitnesses and villagers, who had encountered the monster giant. They also visited Nokrek National Park, and other adjoining areas where the Mande Burung is believed to have sighted.

Sarmiento, the accompanying Primatologist, examined the eyewitness reports, collected evidences and animal movements from the deep dark forests of Garo Hills.

The camera crew was fully equipped with various types of cameras and electronic gadgets including solar powered motion activated cameras, GPRS based digital still camera, GPS - global positioning system, high definition professional broadcast cameras, animal scent baits, electronic animal baits, etc.

Eminent personalities from Garo Hills and experts on issues related to Garo Hills Dr Milton M. Sangma, Llewellyn R. Marak and others were interviewed. “We are happy with the scenic beauty of Garo Hills, and the hospitality and friendliness of the Garo people,” said the producer Bill William Prouty, satisfied with the shoot.

The Centaur Adventure Team accompanied the History Channel for the filming. Dipu Marak, a Mande Burung enthusiast said, “We have provide the channel with all the video tapes of the earlier sighting, photographs, bone samples, few strands of suspected hair sample and blood sample for DNA testing and identifications.”

A New Way to Look at Bigfoot

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Monsters  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

One of the things that surprised me the most when I started investigating UFO sightings and other related phenomena was the realization that there are different species of extraterrestrials being reported. This would make sense, though, if you consider the vastness of the universe, and incorporate the multi-verse theory championed by Dr. Michio Kaku, a theoretical physicist with City College of New York. What does all of this mean, though?

In a February 5, 2009 CNN article entitled “Galaxy may be full of ´Earths´, alien life”, researchers at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland estimate through computer models that there could be between 361 and 38,000 civilizations in our Milky Way galaxy alone. Factor in a whole universe full of civilizations, as well as the possible existence of more than one universe, the total could be off the charts. Current thinking by Ufologists (scientists who investigate the UFO and Extraterrestrial Hypothesis) is that one, if not several, of these civilizations are monitoring the inhabitants of our planet, and doing so in a covert way to avoid wide-scale confrontation. Of course, such efforts should be effortless for a civilization with the technology to travel between planets.

So, let´s assume that more than one civilization is traveling on a constant basis through our planetary neighborhood. It would be ridiculous to believe that all species of alien would appear the same, and would look similar to us. Of the millions of species native to this planet alone, there is great variety.

The best intelligence available on multiple civilizations visiting Earth is derived from those victimized people called “Contactees” and “Abductees” or “Abduction Experiencers”, since they have had direct contact. Descriptions of three and a half foot tall grey aliens barely scratch the surface. Other descriptions include a reptilian-like species, a “Nordic”-like humanoid species with a height of between 7 and 8 feet with blond hair and blue almond shaped or slanted eyes, and several robot-like classes that may resemble a humanoid or box-shape with antennae, which many in Brazil have termed “Chupas” or “chupa-chupa”, meaning “the sucker” for its reputation for taking blood specimens from its victims.

The species that attracted the most attention from me is the large, hairy anthropoid, commonly referred to as “Bigfoot” or “Sasquatch” and believed to be a previously uncatalogued animal species. There have been thousands of sightings of this species throughout the centuries and from hundreds of countries. Most sightings of this anthropoid involve accidental sightings from a distance as they walk through a densely wooded and generally uninhabited area. Cryptozoologists (scientists who study previously unknown and uncatalogued species of animal) are constantly criticized due to the lack of a Bigfoot body or bones being found. Sometimes it seems the only place Bigfoot does exist is on film!

Some recent sightings have included an anthropoid exiting a spacecraft or stepping through a ring or portal hovering just above the ground. Native American mythology speaks of the ability by the Sasquatch to disappear right in front of your eyes. Native Americans around the state of Utah refer to the Sasquatch as a “Skinwalker”, a demon spirit which has taken human-like form. This has been documented in the book Hunt for the Skinwalker by Dr. Colm Kelleher, PhD, formerly Deputy Administrator of the National Institute of Discovery Science, and investigative reporter George Knapp of KLAS-TV, both based in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Factoring in the theory of multi-verses, both of these methods, spacecraft and portal-travel, could be transportation from Point A to Point B in the same universe, from Point A to Point A in different universes, or Point A to Point B in different universes. On top of the possibility that Bigfoot could still be a resident of planet Earth, this means that it could be from another planet, or another universe altogether.

This flies in the face of the belief that Bigfoot is an animal, suggesting instead that it is an intelligent, extraterrestrial entity.

A measure of intelligence and a manner of entry and exit from a sighting area goes far in explaining why Bigfoot has only been accidentally seen and sometimes opportunistically photographed.

This supposition would confound pseudo-skeptics who continue to insist and sometimes to bank their credibility upon the premise that Bigfoot does not exist. It would also go a long way to explain why the smartest species on this planet (presumably Humans) has been unable to substantiate adequately for scientific research the existence of the elusive Bigfoot!

Science believes that a lot could be learned upon the discovery and documentation of a previously unknown species. In this case, though, Cryptozoologists and Ufologists believe a wealth of information could be obtained beyond what science currently expects.

‘Vampire’ discovered in mass grave

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Monsters  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

A SKELETON exhumed from a grave in Venice is being claimed as the first known example of the “vampires” widely referred to in contemporary documents.

Matteo Borrini of the University of Florence in Italy found the skeleton of a woman with a small brick in her mouth (see right) while excavating mass graves of plague victims from the Middle Ages on Lazzaretto Nuovo Island in Venice .

At the time the woman died, many people believed that the plague was spread by “vampires” which, rather than drinking people’s blood, spread disease by chewing on their shrouds after dying. Grave-diggers put bricks in the mouths of suspected vampires to stop them doing this, Borrini says.

The belief in vampires probably arose because blood is sometimes expelled from the mouths of the dead, causing the shroud to sink inwards and tear. Borrini, who presented his findings at a meeting of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences in Denver, Colorado, last week, claims this might be the first such vampire to have been forensically examined. The skeleton was removed from a mass grave of victims of the Venetian plague of 1576.

However, Peer Moore-Jansen of Wichita State University in Kansas says he has found similar skeletons in Poland and that while Borrini’s finding is exciting, “claiming it as the first vampire is a little ridiculous”.

Borrini says his study details the earliest grave to show archaeological “exorcism evidence against vampires”.
