Monster curse threat after Nessie snub

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Monsters  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

THE High Priest of the UK’s White Witches has threatened to cast a spell which could jeopardise attempts to secure World Heritage status for Loch Ness.

An expert from the United Nations maintains the Loch Ness Monster had never been taken seriously and Nessie could scupper chances of securing the much coveted award.

But paranormal researcher Kevin Carlyon, who is the self-styled protector of the monster, is amused by the claims that mention of Nessie could bring ridicule to such a bid.

“Loch Ness without Nessie is like having a cheese sandwich without the cheese,” Kevin declared.

And he is being backed by another Nessie fan, Loch Ness webcam operator Mikko Takala, who claims disowning Nessie in the bid would be like Lapland declaring Santa Claus doesn’t exist.

Mr Carlyon in the past has cast spells on the loch to prevent Nessie hunters tracking down the elusive monster.

He told the Highland News Group: “This time I don’t have to protect Nessie as the fools are doing the damage themselves.

“In fact if they had their way there would be no monster myth left. Rather than bring more people to the area it would detract from it.”

Mr Carlyon was responding to comments by United Nations consultant Chris Pound who has completed an initial report on the area’s bid to be included on the UK government’s shortlist of World Heritage Status nominations for 2012.

It is 75 years since the first media reports of a monster in the loch and local tourist operators believe recognition by the UN of the Great Glen’s geographical heritage could be the catalyst for an all year-round tourist industry and not just summer tourists on Nessie-hunting missions.

The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation decides which countries and landmarks are given the prestigious award.

And it is up to the UK Government’s department of media culture and sport (DMCS) to make its nominations in four years time.

Mr Pound visited the loch earlier this month and said he believes the area’s geology and topography, the loch’s deepness, landscape and the engineering behind the Caledonian Canal were factors which would find favour with politicians.

But of the Nessie story he commented: “It’s an issue which is going to have to be managed carefully. The subject of Nessie is world famous but has never been taken quite seriously. When I spoke to a woman in the DMCS about the report I was doing for the area she fell about laughing. A lot of people have heard of the beastie and it’s an image presentation issue which has to be addressed.”

But Mr Carlyon believes without the legend of Nessie the loch is no different from others in Scotland which are far more suited to tourism.

“This story will send ripples around the world of a negative nature and I honestly think that these so called experts are biting at their own rear ends and will do more harm than good for the area.

“If it comes to it and people support it I will perform a spell to blow this ludicrous plan out of the water.

“I am sure that people will choose Nessie rather than a pompous title, which in the long run will not benefit Scotland at all.”

Mr Takala agrees it would be crazy to make the bid without mention of Nessie.

“I’m half Finnish and it would be as daft as Lapland saying Santa Claus doesn’t exist. Go anywhere in the world ask what they know about Scotland and they will say whisky and Nessie – they won’t ever tell you about the topography of Loch Ness,” he said.

“I find it hard to understand why tourist operators are willing to support this bid at the exclusion of Nessie when they know full well it is the monster that brings the visitors here. It could easily backfire on them.”

Baby Ogopogo Carcass ?

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Monsters  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

Last month I was contacted by Arlene Gaal, a respected historian and researcher who has written many books on the history of the Okanagan Valley and also the Ogopogo mystery. The American History Channel was coming to Kelowna to film an episode of “MonsterQuest”(a show of which I was already somewhat familiar). They wanted to interview myself and my girlfriend Jessica about our sightings and were interested to see what photographic evidence I had obtained.

In Josh Dorsey’s (director) own words my photos were “the most interesting and compelling pieces of evidence” he had yet seen in regards to Ogopogo.

I have since had them analyzed by Dr.Edward Bousfield, a biologist and esteemed Cadborosaurus researcher who said that in his professional opinion my photos show a large “Megaserpent” or unknown aquatic animal living in Okanagan Lake.

I was one of the few people on the boat during the MonsterQuest expedition and I was the 3rd person on planet Earth to hold and photograph whatever it was they pulled up from a cave near Squally Point.

I initially didn’t think it looked very much like a fish but who knows what decomposition can do to a carcass. The headlines are reading “Baby Ogopogo” but we will have to patiently await the DNA testing in Guelph as even my pictures are not clear enough to ascertain what exactly the divers found that day.

This was the first of two planned dives and took place after the helicopter thermal scan. When they pulled it up, someone came in and shouted “They found something!.”

Being one of the few present with a digital camera I tried to take as many photos over the shoulder of the divers during the excitement and even got to hold the specimen and inspect it for a few seconds before I unfortunately had to depart the expedition to catch a plane.

I am not a biologist.

I am an artist, photographer and musician; I have nothing more than my keen interest, open mind and beyond my few personal sightings I have researched a few things cryptozoological, but upon first glance I was unsure as to what exactly it was they found.

My initial thoughts were not a fish because the skin appeared too wrinkled and not scaled but upon first observation of the photos both Arlene Gaal and Dr.Edward Bousfield commented that it looked fish-like.

Salmonoid or possibly a Ling Cod were there suggestions. Every person I saw look at the specimen on that boat seemed to not be able to identify this creature at all even though Bill Steciuk himself has spent many years on the lake and should be familiar with most of it’s inhabitants. I have read the recent “baby ogopogo” headlines and I remain skeptical though regardless of what the DNA testing proves, I still 100% believe in the animal’s existence and I know that the MonsterQuest team did not leave empty handed.

Joshua Dorsey (director) and his crew did exactly all they could given the time and conditions, which was shine a little more light on the hugely compelling mystery that is Ogopogo.

Their biggest difficulty was that unlike other lake creatures around the world there exists a mass amount of real evidence spanning 100 years proving the existence of an unknown zoological species living in the waters among us.

Bigfoot at Fifty

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Monsters  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

Somewhere in the wilds of the Siskiyou Mountains, a hulking, ill-kempt, apelike creature should be on the lookout for that dreaded letter from the AARP Yes, it’s true: Bigfoot is about to turn 50.

Or, to put it more precisely (if less fancifully), the phenomenon of Bigfoot is hitting the half-century mark.

In 1958, a man from Willow Creek in Humboldt County discovered the first size-15 footprints in the mud. Wildlife biologists, scoop-hungry reporters, cryptozoologists, psychics, new age shamans and even big-game hunters have been combing the wooded mountains ever since. They’ve turned up more footprints – lots and lots of footprints – and a few other intriguing bits of evidence, but no one has been able to produce definitive, unassailable proof that the creature exists.

Still, several communities claim Bigfoot as their native son – none with a louder voice than Willow Creek, a tiny town overlooking the Trinity River on Highway 299, 40 minutes east of Arcata. It’s home to the Bigfoot Museum, the Bigfoot Motel and the Bigfoot Golf & Country Club, and was the site of the 2003 International Bigfoot Symposium.

Stories of a big, apelike beast called Sasquatch circulated in the Pacific Northwest long before white settlers arrived. Then, on Aug. 27, 1958, a bulldozer operator named Jerry Crew stumbled upon a set of eerily large footprints next to a U.S. Forest Service road he was building near Bluff Creek. Andrew Genzoli, a columnist for the Humboldt Times, coined the name Bigfoot, and suddenly Northern California had its own version of the Loch Ness monster.

Nine years later, two other men from Willow Creek, Roger Patterson and Robert Gimlin, were searching in the same area and shot the famous home movie that depicts, depending on your point of view, either Bigfoot or a person in a cheesy Bigfoot costume. The 53-second clip has been analyzed nearly as thoroughly as the Zapruder film, and whatever your conclusion, there are dozens of “experts” who will back you up.

In the decades that followed, there have been recurrent whispers in Willow Creek of Bigfoot sightings. But 84-year-old Al Hodgson, retired owner of the town’s variety store, says encounters are more common than is publicly known.

“If you say you’ve seen Bigfoot, people make fun of you,” he said. “A lot of people hold back, keep it to themselves.”

He’s never encountered the big beast himself, but Hodgson has found several sets of footprints, which he preserved with plaster casts. They’re now on display at the town’s Bigfoot Museum.

Spend your day

You might start by shopping for delectable fruits and vegetables at Trinity River Farm, a ’70s commune now being managed as a traditional farm by Molly O’Gorman, the founder’s daughter. Then head over to the Bigfoot Museum, also known as the Willow Creek-China Flat Museum. The Bigfoot wing is in the back, and there you’ll find lots of plaster footprints, a few strands of alleged Bigfoot hair, a tiny chunk of Bigfoot’s alleged Achilles tendon, lots of newspaper clippings and a couple of films. On the way out, stop at the front desk to buy Bigfoot cookies, “Bigfoot crossing” signs, Bigfoot shot glasses, Bigfoot coffee mugs, Bigfoot jelly, Bigfoot T-shirts and … well, you get the idea. In the afternoon, go for a whitewater rafting trip on the Trinity River, keeping an eye out, of course, for Bigfoot lounging on the riverbank.

Many of those who’ve encountered Bigfoot say the creature stinks like rotting garbage. So don’t just look; use your nose, too.

Tower of Babel - fact or parable ?

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Myths  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

The Tower of Babel is perhaps one of the most intriguing of the ancient tales. It is thought that Nimrod commissioned the construction of the Tower of Babel. Nimrod was the great grandson of Noah, grandson of Ham and son of Cush. He was King and founder of many cities following the flood - he is associated with Babylon, Mespotonia, Uruk, Akkad and Calneh. He is depicted as a tyrannous ruler, a hunter of both animals and men, who established fire worship and idolatry.

What is the Story of the Tower of Babel

Genesis 11:1-2

“And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the East, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there”

Genesis 11:3

“And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar”

Genesis 11:4

“And they said, Go to, let us build a city and a tower, whose top may reach into heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole Earth”

Genesis 11:5-6

“And the lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do”

Genesis 11:7

“Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech”

Genesis 11:8-9

“So the lord scattered them abroad from hence upon the face of all the earth and they left off to build the city. Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from hence did the lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth”

The message from Genesis seems to be that the Babylonian citizens who built the tower did so without God and without praise of or assistance from God.

Without God, and a need for God, men themselves become Gods.

Speaking one tongue, and with ancient wisdom, humankind would be capable of anything they put their minds to - this was not God’s will or plan for humankind at this point in history, the knowledge and intent could easily be twisted for evil purposes and used to wipe out mankind - therefore God had to slow the advancement of man.

Without clarity of communication, mankind was fragmented and disempowered with a loss and dispersion of universal wisdom and universal intent.

The word “babble” is based upon the incoherent speech of the Babylonians following the destruction of the tower.

Cultural Interpretations of the Tower of Babel

Greek Account

“When all men were of one language, some of them built a high tower as if they would thereby ascend up to heaven, but the Gods sent storms of wind and overthrew the tower and gave everyone his peculiar language and for this reason it was that the city was called Babylon”
Sumerian Account

“Then Enki, the Lord of abundance, (whose commands are trustworthy) the lord of wisdom, who understands the land; the leader of the Gods, endowed with wisdom, the Lord of Eridu changed the speech in their mouths, contention into it, into the speech of man that (until now) had been one.”

Mexican Account

“And as men were thereafter multiplying they constructed a very high and strong Zacualli (a very high tower) in order to protect themselves when again the second world should be destroyed. At the crucial moment their languages were changed, and as they did not understand one another, they went to different parts of the world”
Polynesian Account

“But the God in anger chased the builders away, broke down the building and changed their language, so that they spoke diverse tongues.”

Crow Indian Account

“Then little Coyote did something bad. He suggested to Old Man that he give the people different languages so they would misunderstand each other and use their weapons in wars……Old Man did what little Coyote said and the people had different languages and made war on each other.”

The interesting question is - how much of the story of the Tower of Babel is symbolic parable and how much is based upon factual events.

What Was the Purpose of the Tower of Babel ?

The translation of the word “Babel” - means Gate of God

According to the book of Genesis, the Tower was built to reach the heavens, the reason for this is not known, however, if it was a symbolic gesture, it begs the question why did the Babylonians not erect the tower off a mountain to achieve height?

There are a number of theories regarding the purpose or use for the Tower of Babel:

Theory 1

The city of Babylon was inhabited with descendants from Noah and the great flood, where, they believed, the Gods had all but wiped out life on Earth.

The tower was a statement of their triumph in the face of adversity, and a challenge to their God - they would not cower from God but ascend to challenge them - in an attempt to show their might and potentially deter any further attack.

Theory 2

The tower could have been a central religious place or meeting point for people to seek sanctuary in times of adversity of attack “lest they be scattered”.

However, it begs the question, if the tower was for religious purposes, why then would the tower have brought about the wrath of God?

If however, the tower was a religious building whose intent was to expose man to the mystery of the heavens and the greatness of God - which was within man, ie man as God - as much of the “new age” philosophy is currently purporting may explain the wrath.

One purpose of the tower appears to be the civilisation wanting to “make a name for themselves” -man attempting to share in the Glory of

Theory 3

Some have taken the statement that the tower of Babel was constructed to reach the heavens as a literal concept - ie a construct that housed, or was itself, a type of spacecraft which could literally reach the heavens.

Theory 4

Some have theorised that the tower was a communications device - to either communicate with other humans around the globe who escaped the flood - or, perhaps even with Gods within the universe.

Theory 5

The tower housed, or was itself, a weapon of mass destruction - to wage war upon any earthly or spiritual opponent of Babylon.

Theory 6

The tower was a statement of mankind’s wisdom, knowledge and understanding of the earth, sciences. A demonstration of the power of man - with collective consciousness, man was all powerful and could achieve anything.

Theory 7

The tower was a commercial trading centre within the heart of the ancient city - a shrine to commercialism over spirituality.

Could The Parable of the Tower of Babel Be Based in Fact ?

Origins of Language

The spoken word leaves no trace - it is therefore impossible for language historians to determine at what point in human history, languages were first uttered or how they developed.

The diversification of language on earth is however of great interest to linguists. There are around 5000 languages spoken in the world today and two main theories regarding how such a varied number of linguistic differences occurred.

The Monogenesis Theory (or Mother Tongue Theory) supposes that in the beginning, all modern humans came from a singular genetic source in Africa and all spoke the same language, what exactly that language was is a matter of discussion. This theory is supported in the book of Genesis from the Old Testament “they all have one language”. The original single mother tongue evolved, as humans moved and travelled in groups, into the various language spoken today.

The Candelabra Theory supposes that different languages started in different places on earth and evolved with each individual social group according to geographical location and contact with other groups or cultures.

There is however a fundamental problem with both theories - The Candelabra theory cannot fully explain the fact that there remain common or similar words for the same items - suggesting that language has in fact been adapted from one singular source. The Monogenesis theorists cannot fully explain that following rigorous analysis of language evolution, the length of time it takes for any language to evolve into the forms used in today’s societies would have taken a longer time period than modern man has been on the planet.

An interesting point however, is that many accomplished linguistic historians point to the parable of the Tower of Babel to a viable explanation for the origin of the varied languages used on the planet today.

Archaeological Evidence Reveals Evidence of the Foundations of The Tower of Babel

Archaeologists have uncovered what appears to be the foundation of the Tower of Babel within the ancient city ruins of Babylon. The base is square, 91 metres along each side, with earthen embankments.

Could the Confusion of Speech be Explained?

The loss of speech may have been a divine retribution or possibly a natural disaster - interpreted as an act of God.

An article was published in the Telegraph in May 2008 which described how Roger Highfield, the Telegraph’s Science Editor, participated in an experiment in which the speech area of his brain temporarily disabled by a process of “transcranial magnetic stimulation”

The area of the brain identified to be responsible for speech, speech tone and recognition is named after the man who discovered it - Broca’s area.

The introduction of a magnetic force effectively turned off the ability to communicate - albeit on a temporary basis.

Is it feasible therefore to consider that a large scale electro-magnetic emission or blast from the tower of Babel could have affected the speech centre of those around the tower on a permanent basis.

We cannot ascertain however if the tower contained electro magnetic material, however, electromagnetic material could certainly support theories 3, 4 and 5 of the purpose of the tower.

Babylon Today

Renovation to the remains of the city of Babylon - situated in war torn Iraq, were started by Sadam Hussein. The city is now host to an American military base - but an article in the New York Post reveals that there are plans to turn the city into a commercial shopping centre to attract tourists.

Alien-like Squid Seen at Deep Drilling Site

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Monsters  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

A mile and a half (two and a half kilometers) underwater, this alien-like, long-armed, and–strangest of all–”elbowed” Magnapinna squid is seen in a still from a video clip recently obtained by National Geographic News.

Filmed by a Shell oil company ROV (remotely operated vehicle) on November 11, 2007, the squid was at the Perdido oil- and gas-development site in the Gulf of Mexico.

The video is evidence of how, as oil- and gas-industry ROVs dive deeper and stay down longer, they are yielding valuable footage of deep-sea animals.

Some biologists have even formed partnerships with oil companies, allowing scientists to share camera time on corporate ROVs–though critics worry about possible conflicts of interest.

Mysterious Creature Spotted in Lake Erie

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Monsters  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

A tall fishing tale of a huge creature living in Lake Erie has been around for ions. So much controversy has gone around about supposed sightings, and whether or not this amphibious creature is real has become something to poke fun at.

A landowner whose property butts up against route #2 actually floated a goofy looking replica of this monster for all passerby drivers to see.

That may be the reason I peered with suspicion at the strange, yet beautifully exotic depiction of an other-worldly looking creature in the local advertising/newspaper flyer.* By the greenish tint of the photo, I could tell this was taken by an underwater camera.

Hanging around the mysterious, free-floating object were some friendly blue gills who appeared to be curious about the bulbous underwater creature too. Still, I couldn’t guess what this thing could have been. Anyone who lives around Lake Erie has heard a plethora of fishing stories. I thought I had heard them all.

Fishing Lake Erie throughout the years, I had dropped thirty five feet of fishing line into her mysterious depths. I had snorkeled in the lake, the bay, off of the islands, but this mysterious creature was an unknown entity in my experience. The photo of the colorful, translucent and gelatinous creature had never been portrayed in any of the fishing yarns I’d ever heard of, so I thought it must not be real.

The photo did not look doctored. The lavender colored surface markings reminded me of global continents on the earth. Other smaller red markings dotted the creature’s exterior. Oranges and yellows against a translucent backdrop followed an irregular line suggesting the quivery movement reminiscent of a jelly fish.

“This cannot be,” I remarked. “Jellyfish only live in the ocean.” I showed the picture of the mysterious creature to my husband who then told me of the swimming hole he and his friends visited as a young child. He said there were always two inch jellyfish inhabitants there swimming all around them.

“Ark of The Covenant”: What Ever happened To Ark Hunter Dr. Vendyl Jones? An Israel Trip Nov. 2008?

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Myths  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

Do you remember , or have you ever heard of the movie entitled:”Indiana Jones; and The Lost Ark of The Covenant” , that hit the movie theaters in about 1985…? Maybe you do remember, or you have heard of this movie. Better than that you may also have seen it rented as a movie classic in a movie shop or store. In all of the articles, and persons who have claimed to maybe find the Ark of The Covenant, or who even purport the knowledge of where it is today, abounds in theory and hypothesis by the dozens.

Yet, out of all of these there seems to be one man that has stood out as one of the main searchers for this elusive artifact. That is a man who lives in north Texas. Not too far from the bustling city in Texas named Waco. This man’s name is either Mr. or Dr. Vendyl Jones. Since the 1970’s, and through the 1980’s and all the way up till about 2005, the name of Vendyl Jones has significantly seemed to stand the test of time in looking for this artifact known as The Ark of The Covenant.Vendyl Jones claims to approximately know where the possible Ark of The Covenant might be. Out of respect this author to this article will refer to Vendyl Jones as Dr. Vendyl Jones. However, I’ll also simply refer to him as Dr. Jones.

It seems that not much has been heard from the plans of Dr. Jones in recent years as to the progress he is either making or not in looking for and obtaining some hard tangible evidence as to where The Ark of The Covenant may or may not be. It seems that through the 1970-2005 that Dr. Jones reported now and then a series of progressive steps in trying to find the Ark of The Covenant. He studied many varied and numerous apocryphal accounts of Hebrew and knows many of these and The Torah-(The Hebrew Old Testament of The Bible’s first (5) books. Genesis-Deuteronomy), inside out. Dr. Jones traced the likelihood of The last known location for The Ark of The Covenant to be not too far from where The famous Dead Sea Scrolls were found in a group of (11) caves right next to The Dead Sea known as :”The Qumran Caves”.These are located approximately about-(16 miles east of Jerusalem). However, more specifically in an area of a group of caves known as :”The Cave of The Column Complex”.Which a couple of miles north of The Qumran Caves. It was and still here in these small group of caves that span and area maybe about 1,500 feet across that on the approximate south end of these caves, there are a group of layered stones. That resemble about (18) angled hamburger patty like stones that form about a 35-45 degree right angle stacked on top of each other. It is here at this approximate location and where this marker is at, that Dr. Jones estimates that there are a possible group of 7 hidden caverns. That hold not only the Ark of The Covenant, but with it all of The First temple Treasures of King Solomon’s Temple.

It also was here at this location that according to such reports over the years in different articles in the media that Dr. Jones found possible different forms of evidence indicating that maybe The Ark of The Covenant was here at the location he has chosen. The list is very long, complex, and complicated to explain in detail in just one article on this subject. However, some of the items Dr. Jones may claim he has found over the years, has not been without controversy. That too are also items listed on what is known as :”The Copper Scroll”.-(An item found shortly in the Qumran Caves that has some sort of ancient form of Hebrew written upon it and that it was and still is made primarially of copper. That here it is said to indicate exactly where The Ark of The Covenant and all the other temple treasures of King Solomon ar at.

However, Dr. Jones reportedly found an :”Annointing Oli Flask”.Supposedly dating back to the time of at least King Solomon-(9-10 century BC). O,r maybe even back to the time of Moses. That inside this flask there was still some annointing oil left. Which according to Dr. Jones may have been tested to be authentic and geniune. The flask and oil now reside in a refrigerated compartment near or maybe in Jerusalem. Awaiting someday further scientific testing and veriifcation as to the possible claim put upon it. All of these things have also caused much reported controversy over the years.Of course which has made headlines all over the world.

Dr. Vendyl Jones’s Plans For 2008 and Beyond

Back in approximately Feb-March , of 2008 I had the chance to talk to Dr. Jones. At this time since 2005 he and his group have been trying to procure funding to go back to this site, and to obtain appropriate permission from Israeli authorities to drill just a small borehole through the rock.he estimates that he will under present day conditions need about a total of $ 85,000.00 to cover all of his needs for his latest planned expedition.Too, he may have raised some of these funds as to date. But, has not reached his total needed budget as of yet To where he feels and believes the Ark of The Covenant and these other hidden caverns may reside. All it seems he may want to get permission to do is to see if this borehole does bore into at least one of these caverns. That he has now been awaiting over 40 years to see if his exploring for The Ark of The Covenant , and all of The temple Treasures can be found. It is very possible that it is Dr. Jones intentions, and immediate plans that in the event he finds the Ark of The Covenant here at this location, that he immediately will forward all of these things over to the appropriate persons in Israel. That with permission will intend and seek out to start rebuilding a third-(3rd temple like King Solomon’s), in order to house the newly re-discovered Ark of The Covenant. To which Dr. Jones and his group which entitle themselves as :”Noahides” believe in what seems to be a combination of laws given to Noah and also all principles applicable to The Old Testament and Mosaic law in which the Ark of The Covenant held The Ten Commandments. To which Dr. Jones and this group also may believe all of mankind will come under . After the third temple is rebuilt.

Furthermore in about March-April when this author talked to Dr. Jones he was planning a “possible” hopeful visit to Israel sometime during November of , 2008. Matter of fact, maybe this month. To where he will try appropriately to approach in all the right ways to Israeli authorities to seek if he can humbly obtain appropriate permission to drill very, very, careful borehole. Under all the rules and guidelines of The Israeli authorities. At some point into the future under whatever guidelines he hopes the Israeli authorities may hopefully grant him under such provisions at the site this author aforementioned above.

A few months ago this author wrote a few articles on The Ark of The Covenant. At that time this author did state that it is not too far from the vicinity where Dr. Jones may be looking but further away from his claimed and purported site, that there is cave that this author was abler to discover that may instead have The true Ark of The Covenant inside of it. That at that time the author of this article showed a number of images . Even some that may have been the Ark of The Covenant. It shall be very interesting to see what Dr. Jones is either going to possibly find or not find. maybe the month of November, 2008 shall reveal some new insights into the hopes of Dr . Jones and what will be his next step in his seeking and exploring his site for The Ark of The Covenant and The First temple Treasures. Time will tell.

UFO researcher holds key to Troodos mystery

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Myths  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

Is the mystery of an unexplained crash in the Troodos in 1973 about to be solved?

A BRITISH UFO researcher may hold a vital clue that could help prove a flying saucer crashed into the Troodos mountains 35 years ago.

Gary Heseltine, the editor of the popular UFO Monthly magazine, has taken possession of several items of unidentified debris collected by a former British soldier who claims to have witnessed a UFO fall to earth in 1973.

In his detailed account, Corporal Tom Clarke, who was part of a six man British Army unit on a late night patrol recalled what happened when spotted strange lights in the sky.

“We were all awoken at about 2am by a brilliant bluish dazzling bright light in the sky, what happened next is hard to explain. There was not an explosion, but we were all hit by a shockwave and fell flat to the ground. The light just disappeared or went out,” Clarke recalled.

The team of dazed soldiers quickly found the crash site which was located some 200 metres down the mountain and additional military personal were called in to investigate.

The soldiers were ordered to collect debris and place it into black plastic bags; Corporal Clarke managed to conceal some small pieces of golden tinted foil from amongst the wreckage – which is now in the hands of UFO Magazine.

“After what seemed like hours a halt was called and we were all lined up and told that under no circumstances were we to talk about what we had been doing and that we were forbidden to take anything from the site under threat of Court Martial.

“We were then all taken from the area by helicopter and flown to Alexander Barracks in Dhekelia where we were interviewed separately. I was asked to describe exactly what I had seen and was warned again not to discuss with anyone the events that had occurred.”

Soon afterwards all six men who witnessed the crash were posted to different foreign locations and nothing more was heard about events of that night in 1973– until now.

Gary Heseltine is convinced that Clarke has given a credible and genuine account of the mysterious events of 1973.

“You have to appreciate for someone to come and contact a person like me they have to be quite serious and determined to discover more about their experience. Mr Clarke has kept records, photos and gave me a very clear precise account of what happened, I doubt very much this is a fantasy or made up,” he told the Sunday Mail.

“I have the artefacts Mr Clarke collected from the crash site and am now looking at having them examined by experts to determine what they are or where they are from. From everything that has been described I would have to label this a UFO event. Something obviously crashed and by the response of the military it was something highly secret,” he added.

Unsurprisingly, in a statement to the Sunday Mail, a spokesman for the British Ministry of Defence claimed they had no knowledge of any UFO crash in Cyprus.

“The MoD examines reports solely to establish whether UK airspace may have been compromised by hostile or unauthorised military activity. Unless there is evidence of a potential threat, there is no attempt to identify the nature of each sighting reported,” he said.

The MoD remained ‘open-minded’ about aliens, he added.

However, Paphos based UFO expert John Knowles, who has enjoyed two UFO encounters himself, told the Sunday Mail that he would certainly not rule out that a crash could have happened.

“It is feasible that something like this could easily have occurred without anybody noticing it, or it could have been covered up. There is a lot of fear associated with this subject, many authorities are reluctant to admit that there are things that they can’t control and I think that’s part of any cover up activity.”

The Troodos range, which is home to several military communication stations, has been location of dozens of reported “UFO incidents” over the past half century.

Speaking from the UK, famed psychic Uri Geller told the Sunday Mail how he watched in disbelief as a disc-shaped object floated above his head in Troodos before it “zoomed off at incredible speed” in 1961.

“Actually I had two UFO experiences whilst I was living in Cyprus, the first in 1959 and then again a few years later,” he said.

“I have never really spoke about this openly, but I saw a UFO when I was up in the Troodos and once whilst I was walking my dog on a beach near Kyrenia. On both occasions I saw flying objects, they were not planes or helicopters and I saw them both times in broad daylight.”

Geller told the Sunday Mail he would never forget what he saw in the skies above Cyprus, despite the fact the incidents happened over 40-years ago.

“On both occasions the craft did an amazingly fast zig-zag, then the shot off at a speed no human craft could ever achieve.”

One theory as to why the alleged Troodos incident is now only seeing the light of day is because UFOs were of extreme military interest during the Soviet era and it’s believed that the USA, UK and USSR were all actively seeking to capture an alien craft.

It has recently been revealed that during the Cold War the Soviet Union’s Air Force had standing orders to intercept and shoot down any detected UFO in Soviet airspace.

The Kremlin was apparently sure that the United States had recovered some advanced alien technology from the Roswell crash site in the 1940s.

Whether alien activity or natural phenomena, reports of UFOs have flooded in this summer from all across the island.

If aliens are choosing Cyprus as a holiday destination, it appears it is becoming more popular, as the number if sightings has dramatically shot up.

In the past year alone dozens of accounts of local UFO activity have appeared on local forums and message boards and even Uri Geller admits he is aware of the increased activity in this region.

“Recently the most extraordinary UFO’s were filmed for 20 minutes outside Istanbul, and if you think geographically it’s pretty close to Cyprus. I know there have been lots of sightings in that arena lately. If people see a UFO they really should report it.”

The Bermuda Triangle - Fact or Fiction?

Author: MandM Admin  |  Category: Myths  |  Comments (0)  |  Add Comment

The infamous Bermuda triangle has been at the heart of conspiracy theorists for decades. The area of the Atlantic covered between Bermuda, Miami, Florida and Puerto Rico has been the subject of immense speculation and most likely will continue to be for some time. The great pull that this triangle exerts on the media is due to the large number of unexplained disappearances that have occurred there over time. Many different ideas have been put forward to attempt to explain the unexplained. These ideas range from space/time warps, magnetic anomalies, UFO and alien abduction/interventions, influences from Atlantis, cross dimensional gateways, hurricanes, out gassing of seabed methane, piracy and other causes.

Hurricanes and tropical storms have caused huge shipping losses over the centuries that ships have been sailing in these waters. Often large fortunes of plundered gold, silver and jewels have disappeared upon entering the eerie triangle. Treasure hunters have had some success here and piracy is not uncommon in these waters and has been happening since the 16th century.

The region often accommodates tropical cyclones due to the Gulf Stream, which feeds warm moisture into the atmosphere, which ads to storm development. Before the advances in technology that allowed us to predict when these devastating storms would occur, many ships could have been taken down by these unexpected natural events.

Trapped methane from the seabed could also be a cause of disappearance. Experiments have shown that sudden eruptions of methane can cause ships to lose their buoyancy and sink. Similarly, aircrafts flying through a concentration of methane can sometimes have their engines cut off and stall.

Space/time warps, though being a popular idea hold little gravity in the real world (no pun intended). This idea has been ruled out largely because an event of sufficient force as to cause disappearance would affect the entire globe, and as there are few events that have, this thought has lost much grounding.

The ideas of cross dimensional gateways are the work of many string theorists and wormhole enthusiasts. As nothing has been substantially proven, this idea is given little credence.

Magnetic anomalies can occur, which throw off compasses, but they would have little direct impact of a vessel or plane, enough at least to sink or make it disappear. Not only this, but flipping of the magnetic poles, which does occur, affects the entire earth and not just the Bermuda Triangle.

The infamous UFO’s are often suspected to be at the heart of disappearances, but as no one has yet provided actual evidence for the existence of alien life, there is little credibility behind this particular explanation. Most sighting reported of UFO’s turn out eventually to be military tests, rather than the much more exciting visitation of ET.

There are some people who cite the influence of our undersea cousins from Atlantis as being responsible for the disappearances. There are those who say that ancient atlantean technology is throwing off ships and planes in order to make humans underwater slaves. Never mind that the technology that they are supposed to have used would have corroded after all these thousands of years under the sea, not to mention the growth of aquatic plants that would surely hinder their operation.

What often stirs the imagination and thus the many theories behind the mysterious triangle is the fact that there have been found planes and ships that are almost completely intact. Treasure hunters too have found vast fortunes under the triangle and there is nothing like a monetary incentive to drive the thoughts of conspiracy.
